MW 25 COLLECTIVE

Mitchell Godfrey. A designer and a multi-disciplined artist.

Having spent most of his life in middle America, he draws from memories of people, everyday life, and the mundane details of objects and structures. Mitchell is constantly seeking what is unseen and unsaid as he pursues storytelling through garment design.

This collection is a study of the mind, thoughts, and eyes of youth from 1958 to 1965. Where the future was hopeful, bright, and ever telling of convenience and easy travel. Yet, what was in store was the counterculture clash, a reaction to the structured upbringing that many teens endured during that time.

As a first-generation immigrant American, Anderson Guerrero's journey has always involved self-discovery. Including his Salvadoran heritage, the influence of being raised in New Orleans, and the journey of leaving everything behind to chase his dream in New York.

Retaking the identity that has been lost through generations of struggle. Researching the past to influence the future. Creating garments that represent our community & will be here long past our lifetime.
